Gordon Chong, president of Chong Partners Architecture, was among those interviewed for a KQED TV segment about LEED certification and the rise of sustainable building in the Bay Area. The program profiles the new California Academy of Sciences, designed by Renzo Piano in collaboration with Chong Partners. Currently under construction in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the museum and research facility establishes a world-class model for sustainable design. The new Academy also is expected to achieve a Platinum rating, the highest LEED certification awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council.
